The Division of Population Health Sciences within CPHSHE will lead and oversee research teams designed to effectively measure, guide improvements, and implement optimal strategies to advance population health outcomes in the service areas the GW academic medical enterprise supports across the clinical activities of the MFA, GW Hopsital, and Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center-GW Health and its clinical affiliates. The goal of the applied clinical research program in population health is to measurably improve health outcomes, eliminate health care disparities, optimize resource utilization, and develop innovative pathways of care in partnership with payors and other stakeholders. The Population Health Sciences Division will also support existing research and facilitate the development of teams that are engaged in health services research throughout the academic medical enterprise and university community.
