Research Project Details

Project’s target population must fall into one of these categories.
Specify the target population with respect to age, sex, gender, race, ethnicity, geographic residence, sexual orientation, clinical status, clinical utilization and/or other descriptors as appropriate for the project.
Summarize the question the proposed research project aims to answer.
Describe how the problem or condition of interest imposes a significant burden on the health of the identified target population.
Summarize the specific aims of the proposed research project.
Describe the research strategy, methodological approach, and data sources to be used in the proposed research project.  Population Health and Health Services Research Scholars Program staff can provide technical assistance prior to submission of the application.
Describe the projected milestones to be accomplished during the course of year 1 and if applicable year 2 for the proposed research project (will reflect project aims.)
Describe how the proposal has the potential to lead to meaningful improvement in the quality, equity, and/or efficiency of care and to improvements in priority population health outcomes.

Program Participation

If faculty mentor has not been identified, Population Health and Health Services Research Scholars Program staff will provide support in identifying faculty mentors.

The Population Health and Health Services Research Scholars Program requires scholars’ participation in faculty development programs through the GW SMHS Center for Faculty Excellence and the Office for Research Workforce Development.
